Redbeard is correct. Toyota experimented with twin charging the 4AG-E engines in the 80's, thus becoming the 4AGZE I beleive. Only a limited run of these actually occured.
Original 4AGE's had 100kW out of the twin cam 1.6 engines, which were so good that the corolla's they were in were beating everything in the 2.0 to 3.0 litre classes at Bathurst.
And these were exactly the same as the stock engines you could buy in the corollas, revving out to almost 8grand.
Anyway, the twin chargin, from memory occured because they wanted more low down torque from the engine, whilst also benefiting from the turbo up high. The Supercharger would provide boost upto I think bout 2grand, when with a puff and a whistle the turbo would takeover and rev her out.
Here is a link on this particular motor-

was good for about 300horsepower!!
Wade, correct about the ttV8 not fitting, the landcruiser chassis rails were widened.
What I'd like to see is toyota replace the 4.0 V6 with a revise version of the 4.0 Lexus V8!!!!
