i've got MTZ's, no complaints at all, not that loud on road, good off road, and I reckon a lot better in the wet than the goodyear MTR's I had on before these.;)

I'll be going the MTZ's on my next lot of tyres, I have a few friends running them with good success.

D4DLUX, yes that is supposedly the law, but have a look on the road and see who actually takes any notice. If you have a good tyre mob they'll explain all the implications, I'm running 31 10R15's which are just over size, but make a hell of a difference. I'll be looking at putting Cooper STT's in 32's next time.

I am running 265/75 R16 in the MTZs. Pretty happy so far. Reasonable on road, much better than the Cooper STT which I had previously. Quiet on road and great off road. I am happy with them so far. Will see what mileage i get out of them.

I have the Mickey Thompson ATZ's.
Not as aggressive as the MTZ, but great tyres all the same. Very quite on road and they seem to be wearing quite well.

Smithy, you say you had the Cooper STTs previously, what sort of mileage did you get from them... I havn't done very well at all... but maybe the speeds that I was running at had something to do with that... unitl XMAS we had unlimited speed limited up here... after a quick run to the QLD border, I noticed that I had used up a fair bit of tread... pressures were up at 40 front and 44 rear...witht the load I was carrying... butthe tyres did seem to be getting pretty hot... so far I have only gotten 32K out of them and will be lucky to make 40K... Having said that... they do stick very well have ...little to no noise .. and have performed pretty well allround......Cheers TOMUCH

I got really poor millage out of them although I was running 33's on a Jeep Wrangler with a 4.5 inch full flex lift kit. I was a big rig that I drove like a sports car. It also was way out of alignment. I think from memoru that I got about 30000 out of the first set which was the older version of the STT's. I had the newer ones on there for about 20000kms before selling the Jeep and I don't think I was going TOMUCH (haha) better than the previous set. You know that they give a guarantee with the Coopers of either 50 or 60000kms can't remember which. If you don't get the guaranteed millage they will discount the next set to suit. I think like the MTZ's the went to a softer rubber which makes them quieter on road etc therefor reducing the milage as well.

Cheers

Just completed my first fuel tank full on my new 285's Maxxis Buckshots.

With the stockies SR wheels on I got 9.2 per 100km out of that one tank that I did withthem on, and with the 285's I got 10.4 per 100km.

Not bad I reckon, considering.

Yeah mate, Id be interested to know what your economies like?

With the amount of items you got on board, wouldnt you have to re-register the hilux as a small truck or something?
