If only there was a chance that this could ever be built, while the colour scheme is ghey and the interior is also I would still buy one 8-)

Nice article.. good find Boof..

Its not that bad really.. the 2.7ltr lets it down though, it'd struggle with that huge curb weight..

but Live axles, manual transfer case.. it really is retro isnt it.. dont think it'll every happen though.. look right at the bottom for the credits of who did what.. IMHO there is no way Toyota would make a car that was using old technology.. FJ80 axles etc.. even though its a cool idea.. and yes they'd sell a few.. as they correctly point out though, the focus these days is on fuel economy and ride comfort and a lot less on hard core offroad capabilities.. and at the end of the day its sales numbers that drives production.. so i doubt we'll see it..
