Just got back from the dealer, was looking to upgrade. The best price i got For the upgraded model dc sr5 deisel with an auto was 53k. They would only give me 35k for mine with or without my accesories.Me think 18k to upgrade is abit steep considering mine is an 06 with 60k on the clock.

Some nice pictures of the new Hilux in Europe since it's left hand drive (wrong side of the road) and the registration plates.

Enjoy.

Hi all, just thought I would give an update on the delivery of my facelift sr5 dualcab d4d.
Well as speek it's in Perth being fitted out, due to pick up end of the month. Here's a list of what's being fitted before I get it.
Alberts car audio in Morley are fitting the eclipse AVN6000 with hard wired ipod in glove box, reverse camera, parrot blue tooth. Also fitting an alpine roof mounted dvd player, this will also be wired to the AVN6000.
Toyota Morley have fitted window tint, fabric and paint protection, electronic rust protection unit and bonnet protector.
Booked in to go to ARB next week to have long range tank, snorkel, deluxe bullbar with factory fogs, rear step towbar. They are also fitting which I have supplied, Ironman 9500lb winch and AED replica rally4000 HID's.
Opposite Lock midland, upgrading tyres to Mickey Thompson FC-II in 31x10.5x15.
TJM O'Connor supplying and fitting Razorback canopy.
Once I pick it up I have sandgrabba mats to fit, outback roller drawers, uhf and redarc dual battery solenoid.
The next couple of weeks can't roll by quick enough.

Thats it for now, pics as soon as I get it.

Looks like it coming along very well. One thing with the upgrade I dont like is the smooth silver trim on the door/window controls and in the center of the dash, I think the older checkered look was better IMHO

G'day Rollux,
Would kindly swap  , except they managed to integrate the steering wheel controls with the new head unit. It's one thing I made sure they could do. :D

Rich,
Sorry don't have any other pics yet, as I don't pick the lux up until end of month.
The unit is the eclipse AVN6000 made by fujitsu ten.

I must admit the photos of the new Hilux didnt really impress me to much but luckily it looks much much better in real life. Changes only appear cosmetic and mainly to the front end.

Zero, I'd agree with that - they look bloody awfull in photos, yet in the flesh are ok. Well, apart from the new bumper anyway, but the grille is ok. ARB bar would fix the bumper problem, (which automatically happens on my vehicles........)

No! the new 2009 model will not fit straight on. But you could make it fit. It is the clips at the bottom that have a different spacing than the 05-08 models

I agree; new grill doesn't flow with the lines of the vehicle; it juts out too much. Looks too American; not subtle at all. IMHO of course.

Thats a biased opinion twisty, your just saying that because you just bought the new one..... :P

I reckon one of the TRD ones you can get off ebay, not the local TRD, but I think they are from england, where they have a body colour outer surround only and everything within it is a dark mesh........Looks tough.......you could then hide some spottie behind it if you wished.
