Hmmm, thats a bit sad then, cos I reckon the Kluger / 200 Cruisers, look like they've been given a big bashing with the 'ugly stick' - current look of Hilux is ok IMHO though.

Only new Cruiser wagon that sorta looks ok, are ones fitted with ARB bars - tends to make them look a bit less 'feminine'.......

Bloody awful alright...

I was thinking about changing from my VZ maloo ute to the 2008 / 2009 hilux but if that is the way they are going to look.........................................

Wow not to convinced now...... I wonder who these doosh bags are that make up these new designs???????

Question: Will the old front bar be compatible with the new model??

Cheers Greg :D

http://www.netcarshow.com/toyota/2009-hilux_high_power/

Found this site as well... Not to sure whether this even looks like the new model on the other sites?

The power increase would be nice though... That is if it comes to Australia.

ew, the silver acents make it look like the older style hilux's (not a bad thing)
but the large protuding front bumper is ugly, but as said nothing a bullbar wont fix

The only thing that Im may be interested in with the facelifted hilux is the mention of better more efficient brakes.

would love to know what that means?

Im assuming they'd be the same overall diameter as the wheels are still 15 inch ones.

That interior is one hideous colour. Could of changed to a darker colour or something but poo brown isn't very attractive at all.

Just a thought..

Yeah, the brown interior is for overseas and Asian Markets.

I wonder if the new better and efficient brakes are interchangable with our models.... Maybe a good way to imprive our brakes....

The 'new' more efficent brakes are probably straight off the Prado, which the TRD Hilux is fitted with.

I dont think so as the hilux in the pics above has 15inch wheels, the new more efficient brakes would have to be small enough in diamter to fit inside the sr5 wheels.

maybe slotted and cross drilled with a larger caliper? who knows.

Looks like not much change.

Minor body work.
Cruise on all.
Grill.
Different mags (size????).
Brakes.
Improved handling (????).
Steering wheel controls (maybe??? for Australia).
Different console and gear stick surround.
Noise, vibration and harshness improvements.

I think I will keep our 2005 model and extend the factory warranty.

Will look at updating in 2010 when the new model comes out.

Hope the interiors get a bit of attention!
