A a tep I don't ue or need t. Down side is it is quite low and I have graded a few track with it as the departure angle is not good.

I'd get it fitted myelf as when mine went on they had trouble as the chassis rails were too wide for it. ARB's answer was to queeze the chasis rails with a hilift jack!

Would have been just my luck! Glad I was paying someone!

Anyway Max has convinced me I need one like this:

I am hoping I can convince Brooky to make me one when he knocks ove 20 odd sets of sliders. You got to cut the tub to fit these. Wait for Max to post up some better pics.....

I knew you could do it for me Max. Compare this bar for clearance and departure angle with the ARB one I have got. Maybe not the best pic.

Having said that, the cost will be at least double your quote

No worries mate, we just couldn't post up a pic of exactly what you want first up mate.  At least we gave you some options even if some are not available off the shelf. I think the ARB bar is the best commercial one out there too. I just wish it was higher now I have had it for a while. But yes, it is great to stand on.

Your quote from ARB sounds OK. Looks like I paid about $850 fitted 14 months ago. Lucky I got $200 off the guy who fitted them for a set of Suzuki Rims at the time!

Yes I thought of that one last night too

Not sure if it will address the step issue, but might be a bit higher than the ARB one.

See: http://www.kaymar.com.au/vehicles/toyot ... ilux05.php for more info.

It will cost a fair bit more than the ARB one though. ARB won't tell you about them because they have a competing product of their own.

Reversing lights look nice!

That one on the Yanky ute is awesome!

It'd compliment the front ARB bull bar superbly.

The ARB offering f^$%s your departure angles, but otherwise is a great unit.

AGRMGT,

The the problem with accessories for the aussie market, they only cater for Touring type of 4x4'ing unless you go full custom...there nothing out there for recreation four wheel drivers, hence we are stuck with an overly heavy and forward portruding, approach angle inhibiting front ARB bar as the best thing on the market at the moment, and the same thing goes with the rear step from ARB unless you make something yourself.....it's why I have stuck with a modifed factory towbar for the rear as anything else hinders departure angle.

Its why I modifed the front bashplate aswell....unfortunately I cannot modify the ARB bar for if I could Id shorten that aswell.....

I've said it once, and I'll say it again....

Go the 70 series....

Steel tray, solid front rear axles, disc brakes, and all for the low price of $70K

By the time we're all done with our Lux's, they would've cost us that much, plus the legal fees for the divorce.

I have had my ARB step for a year or so now and while it does what it's suppsed to and protects the rear of the tub because of its terrible design its usually the reason i get stuck .
i know more ground clerance would help but the fin on the bottom of the bar acts like a grappling hook if the bar was more rounded it would be better ,you can see by the battle scars that mine has hung me up a few times
