Quote for Sahara bar & Snorkel

Postby broke on Mon, 06 Apr 2009 1:31 +0000

G'day fellas

Just got a quote for a Sahara bar (colour coded) and safari snorkel

$2900 fitted.

Is this not bad or can I do better- certainly is a bit of coin (well is for me anyway). :|

Could probably save $300 fitting the bar (with fog lights) by myself but have not much idea with that kind of stuff.

Interested in comments,

Sounds about right. or there is the equipe 4x4 bar that I got which is the arb rip off. TRhat was 1600 fitted and painted. Ebay are selling arb snorkels for 400 as well. but fitting will be about 150 :)

Broke, price sounds about right..........ARB was doing a promotion in March that you recieved a free $350 recovery kit with every bar, you might still be able to squirrel that out of them??

The free recovery gear with a bar was for March and April as far as I'm aware. I got my bar, just waiting for the kit to come in!

Broke, have you seen the Ironman stuff?
Take a look at the IronMan "The Protector Winch Bull Bar"
Its the one i have on my ute. I was going to get the Sahara from ARB but 2 things changed my mind to the Ironman one.
1 - Head light loop protection
2 - Price.
(PS the bull bar included the foggies and parker/blinkers too)
Regards,
Marcelo.

Chancha

Yes I did mate but I found thru research that the Ironman bar wasn't quite as strong and it also leaves the bottom of the radiator area exposed- not what I'm after.

Cheers,

Broke,
Snorkel (Safari) fitted by dealer after delivery was $610. Same price as ARB, but had the piece of mind that if they stuffed it, they fix it. Worth that + more in my opinion.
