85 HILUX

Postby 85LUX on Fri, 13 Apr 2012 2:47 +0000

hey guys, this is my truck, started out in 1985 rolling off the line and into graham werner toyota where my grandpa had it on order, payed 13,000 for it brand new, he mainly used it for duck shooting up a kerang and carting fire wood, he loved the truck so much that he wanted to keep it in the family before he died, i bought it off him for $2000 pretty much a stock hilux with 139,000 on it

Image

cleanest interior of this model hilux going around
Image

only one bit of rust where it looks like a club lock had scratched the floor, grinded back and painted
Image

then came lift and tyres
Image

and a bullbar that i cut and plated to hold my winch
Image

then came turbo, snorkle and 4.88 gears with rear lsd (shimmed up) if you want to know just ask!!!
Image

then came 33, -28 rims and cage
Image

and now as you see it today
Image

so its a 85 hilux
2.4l turbo diesel, new head and head work when turbo was fitted
ct20 rebuilt and running 10psi
3 inch front efs springs with 4 inch rancho shocks
2 rear ifs rears springs with 3 inch shocks
4:88 gears with rears lsd and front auto locker
33" mongrel muddies on -28 rims
rear 4 point with fold down light bar
3 inch stainless steel snorkle
tx5 bucket seats
