My first Hilux

My first Hilux

Postby hunterdelux on Wed, 22 Jul 2009 2:36 +0000

Hi all , ive just bought my first hilux a SR DC 2007 after owning a Triton for 9 years, im a toyota man now and would never go back to a Mitsubishi, lets just say im very impressed with the lux. First thing I did was disable the seatbelt and ignition beepers with the help from the forum. Tyres will be changed over time, at the moment its running Dunlop 235/70/16 next will be BF all terrains which i got 93,000kms out of on the Triton they are great tyres but everone has different opinions.

Cheers Justin

Welcome aboard mate... Well get you hooked up with some big muddies or At's in no time...

Watch out for Mmaaxx, he'll have you getting a 8" lift and chasis mods in time if you let him....

Good to have a new face on board....

welcome mate.....

first good decision you made was buying the hilux......

next good decision is to get bigger rubber......

and you know you really want those BFG KM2's in 33" size dont ya?

dont worry about the angel on your right shoulder telling you you need something with better road manners.....listen to the devil on your left that is shaking in his boots with an angle grinder in his hand at the prospect of fitting big chunky rubber under your new beast......

you cant fight the urge forever.....

Thanks Quinny23, 9W6VX and mmaaxx for replies. Might even look at 2'' susp lift and maybe a bodylift, may be some way away though as the wife is about to have our 2nd child so less monies coming in and more going out, anyway all in good time.
