The wheels are 16x8's and polished as you can see by the pics. They have "ION" stamped on them and I got them off infusion wheels's ebay store.

so if you want a set chase them up there. got em for 175 per rim.....not bad ;)

got some awesome prices on some bullbars from All Vehicle Accessories in Melbourne.

I had to re email him to make sure it was for the current model and not the previous one.

will let you know when I get a reply - look abit like an ARB deluxe bar, with the corner inserts.......ah bugger it, Ive uploaded it to photobucket and here she is -

$1150 fitted.

Had to ask him to make sure like I said, and if it is for my hilux, then I told him its sold to me 8-)

I hope so, it'd look awesome

Just need to bolt some big lights to her, like x4 but does not look like it has the mounting brackets. You'll need to weld some on.

Hey Mmaaxx,
It looks better that the ARB bar already. Seen one (ARB) fittted recently and it looked like it was ment for a Pootrol not for a hilux. Was not even close to fitting. And twice the price.

You might even fit spot lights on that one as I don't think you could with the ARB one as the holes are drilled to close to the uprights.
Let us know how you go.
Regards,
Camwill69

ps. No offence Stu

I was thinking of putting an SR5 sportsbar or something like it later on and 4 spotties across the top, that I'll use when out hunting and hopefully some lightforce on the front. Had em on me old hilux and was impressed with their performance.

Thou the roolites look similar and cheaper????

Mines the old ARB bar, the holes are ok if you look at my photos, others have photos of the lightforce xgs? 240 lights that fit ok. The new ARB bar looks the goods with the fog lights installed. I called into ARB yeaterday to see if I could buy the fog light setup etc, I can but they have some steel brackets that would need to be welded on the bar to take the fog lights and you cannot buy these brackets.

mmaaxx,

What brand is that and is it airbag compatible?

Since my Hilux has the airbag, I'm only left with ARB or TJM bullbar which cost a bomb!

Are there any other choices?

LOL.......

Looks the same as the Iron man bar and the price is around the same.

Tis pretty but I think you will find they are a little on the weak side.

Cheers

Stu

P.s none taken Cam, new bar gets fitted mid next week now lets see if arb can get it right after 2 months

Hey Fella's

Talk about good service. I dropped of my virgin to be de-flowered at 4pm and gota a call round 8.30 to come pick her up, so got there by 9pm and spent half an hour helping the boys check tyre clearance and helping them trim some plastic to make the truck more driveable.

Got home and spent till 11.30 trimming that little bit more, not that it was a problem driving home, but when you almost full lock the steering, the tyre was fouling on the rear plastic inner guard lining.

so I did abit of surgery in the garage to help her out and get rid of that extra cellulite.

I'll admit, it is a close fit, and the flares when fitted will really make her look the part, plus a decent detail.

here are some pics I took quickly in the workshop, better pics will come later.

Now it will be a slow process of trial and error and getting comfortable with her offroad without causing damage.

was told to drive her as is for a week and then get a wheel alignment once all components are settled in. That will also move the wheel slightly forward allowing that extra little bit of clearance where its needed.

Will show the inner guard massaging when I get round to it.

Surprisingly, the D4D takes off pretty good with the bigger tyres, thou you can tell straight away that braking performance has slightly suffered.

Give me abit more time to sort her out and dress her up abit more and she'll scrub up Orr-right! ;)

Further update. some bad news.

The wheels and tyres have to go.

The offset on the wheels is wrong. I

beleived a -5 offset would be ok, but I was mistaken.

So back to the drawing board and I think I'll be going 265's now with some sort of wheel, but I'll make sure it fits right.

Bugger, sometimes you learn the hard way.

[edit] change of plans, wheels and tyre sale on hold] :-)

What a sickness! Look without a body lift 265,s probably the biggest you'll get under the vehicle i have a 2" lift and to get the 265/70/r16's in i had to get the camber, caster and whatever else they do to make it work. Not sure what my offset is but i was told it was incorrect and that it would better suit a cruiser mind you that was from the guy who did the alignment but he at least made it work little to no rubbing at all .I then took it back to where i purchased the rims and tyres and he rekons there fine bloody confusing

Jogal, ask him to put it in writing if he reckons its fine.... Then ask your insurance company.... If they both agree that the rima are OK, then you should be good to go... but having it in writing is a good place to start... Cheers TOMUCH

I have been watching and admiring the tranformation of your vehicle thinking it's all good and then.............what the???
On the internet you can be anything you want. It is strange that so many people choose to be stupid!

Yes i'm running 16x8's no one will put anything in writing the insurance company have said i'm covered even though they havent seen the vehicle. As far as the offset is i,m not sure as the pic shows the tyres stick out a little but it is minimal i even got pulled over the other day at a booze bus and the cops actually commented how good the car looked so i was pretty happy with that.

you just need to make sure you dont go out side the max allowed limit in the wheel track i.e. don't go to wide or you'll have engineering problems.
