Beana's New Lux and Start of Build at last

Postby lnj007 on Fri, 21 May 2010 12:02 +0000

Hey all, Just like to say I love everyones build ups, they have inspired me to do the same.

From the Start;

I ordered my new Lux 7 weeks ago and it finally arrived in my home town last week. It the took 4.5 days to get the damn thing registored beacause i am living in the NT and regeristing it in SA. The process was like getting teeth out of chooks. Anyway finally took possesion of it yesterday...Horay!!! So now ive booked it in to get a few things done before I fly to SA and drive it up to Darwin. I had the Tyres put on this morning and it has now gone to the local 4X4 shop where it will have a Type 13 TJM bar, 2" lift and a snorkle put on.

Things then start to get a bit more fun. My old man is a metal fabriacator/ engineer. He has built many custom trays and canopies for Landcruisers but No Hilux's. So i have volenteered to be the ginny pig and get mine fitted out. Hopefully ill have some more Photos soon and ill keep you all in the loop of Progress.

Cheers

Love that canopy mate, been thinking about something similar myself lately. Is your old man in the canopy/tray buisness or was that a one off for you ?

The BF Goodrich wheels look great on the lux. What size wheels and rims did you go for?

I am considering the BF Goodrich All Terrain in 265/ 75 R16.
