New Theme

New Theme

Postby Dave on Sun, 01 Mar 2009 3:55 +0000

Hi everyone,

I have uploaded a new theme for the site, would like to see what you all thought... it's a bit different to what you're used too.

Give it a go, it's called "newhilux" and to activate it, go here ucp.php?i=165

And select newhilux then click Submit... you can always revert it back to Blue2 if you don't like it.

Cheers,
Dave

Cheers!

Just modified the theme so images can be clicked on so they open up in full screen mode, similar to how the shed profile photos open up.

May look at activating this as the default theme soon... I think the main problem was images wouldn't display properly... but I'm pretty sure that's all good now.

Thanks :)

I have just been working on it this morning to make it wider... now it's 1056 instead of 900 wide.

Dave,
The new theme has no access to chat. I see no advantage with the new theme. Sorry.

Dave,
The sign in and out page are still the old Theme. First impresions are a very important thing for most people mate. Just my observation. Otherwise all good.

I dont know if this happens to anyone else but since changing to this theme when I open a thread to read it, after a few seconds it automatically jumps right down to the last post and reply box. Then I have to scroll all the way back up to the top to continue reading.
Has anyone else found this? or maybe just my computer?
Cheers Greg.

Same issue here mate. It's not just you. It happens at home (Mac) and at work (ibm).

Camwill, have not activated the new theme yet until I'm comfortable that all bugs have been ironed out with it.

The jumping, haven't seen that happen here yet, will do some tests, Thanks guys I really need you to tell me about these problems :)

Quinny: edit buttons shouldn't have changed ???
