I need some help! i am getting my new 4X4 Hilux in Nov-06, i plan on lower this car 40mm in the front and 80mm in the rear (no silly comments on that, please8-)),i do not need the offroad capabilities this car has to offer, what i do need is the 4X4 and the bed, i see from ray126 pic's that he has lowered his Lux, does anyone know what components he may have used?

No idea, we're not really into lowering them here in OZ unless it's a 2WD model... why get a 4WD model for? the 2WD model would probably suit you much better.

I wonder if aftermarket 2WD suspension is the same as the 4WD... It might be!

just get lowered or compressed springs and probably a shorter travel shock absorber because you probably wont need the travel if its icy traction that you want. you'll also need lower height leaves on the back or get a u-bolt kit that'll flip the diff over the top of the leaves and mount it there rather than under the leaves.8-)

you could always cut the springs or take them out and do some measurements and see what else is out there with simular specs?
