MT's Classic Lock

Need something to get you rolling?

Postby Richard on Sun, 19 Aug 2007 12:36 +0000

Anyone know if the 15" will fit straight on to a SR5 with stock standard suspension or is it going to be the usual off-set/disc brake caliper size hassle?

TIA

3 days and no response which doesn't suprise me, it's very similair to the response I get when on the phone to wheel dealers.

Got me beat why there's not a huge range of 15" rims to fit the '07 SR5 seeing as it's been on the market for some time now.

And while I'm at it, congratulations everyone, especially Dave, for being participants to one of the best forums I've had the pleasure of joining since I first got onto the Internet in 1994!

(Have to admit though the Credit Card has taken a battering since joing)

Thanks Guys/Gals

Richard,

Can't help you with your post as I have no knowledge of Mickey Thomson's wheels.

Why don't you ask again and I'm sure someone here will be able to help!

Here's a free bump for you!

ha..ha... LOL!

Regards
Cheers

Cheers 9,

The rims don't have to be MT's, just that particular shape, machined alloy and 15" as in ...

or ...

sorry didnt take much notice of the thread.... ok i wanted the old skool kinda look so i done a fair bit of research into this but still was a pain in the arse! i ordered these american racers from a shop at qld they r 15x8 with +20 offset thought enough 2 clear caliper but not stick out 2 much...they hit the caliper when fitting so bought 6mm wheel spacers which done the job to clear the calipers but wheel studs not long enough so changed all the front 1's to longer studs now all sweet no rubbing nothing. Back went straight on

ripin5.0l what size tyres do you have on those new rims ?, they don't look like 33"s in the photo, if this is right are you going to put your 33"s on them ?:-)

Hey Rip, in your original post, the fiirst shot looks like the rim is machined alloy, but the second, on your vehicle, look polished?

Hi I have the MT classic lock rims fitted to my 06 lux. They are 15x10's and I had to put a 3mm spacer on the fronts to clear the caliper.
I run an extra 3" offset on my rims as I have 33x12.5 tyres fitted and needed the extra offset to clear the tyre lock to lock.
