What about wheels. Would I get 275 70 18 on the standard rim without rubbing?

So i should be able to get these 4.3 front ratios and the 4.3 rears are pretty common lots of aftermarket make them here. I guess im looking to know if the 4.3s will be able to fit my front provided i purchased a prado or newhilux locker?

OD790 tyres equates to 31.1" tyres.
Standard Tyres are 777mm equating to 30.6" tyres.
Standard Tyres at 100kph in 6th your doing 1544rpm.
I you fit 4.1's with a OD790 tyre, your speedo will be out 14kph at 100kays.
At 100kph in 6th you will be revving at 1780rpm, in 5th gear you will be revving at 2278rpm. in 4th (1:1) you'll be revving at 2768rpm.
For normal driving, id say its a good setup, 6th gear will engage around 84kph, and will make it more effective at 100kph with 1780rpm and wont downshit up inclines as the standard hilux does.
You'll also get improved fuel economy below 100kph round town because you'll be shifting to a higher gear sooner, and your low range will be much better too.
the only thing i will state as a caution, is if your towing a heavy trailer in 6th.....im not sure how strong the 2nd overdrive would be pulling heavy loads.....other than that, the setup will work.
Im going almost the same setup with 4.8 gears in my auto next year with 33.5's.
RPM - 1544 Tyre Diameter - 790
Diff Ratio - 4.1
2nd Gear - 2.23 kph=25
3rd Gear - 1.443 kph=38.6
4th Gear - 1.0 kph=55.7
5th Gear - 0.823 kph=67.7
6th Gear - 0.643 kph=86.7
KPH=100
Diff Ratio=4.1
6th Gear=0.643
Tyre Diameter=790mm
Equates to an operating rpm of 1780rpm.
Let me know if I can help with sourcing the 4,1 gears and Master Install kits required....send me a PM.
Hope that helps.

does anyone know what diff ratios the new hiluxs have? And also are the centres interchangable with series 7 hilux?
Thanks in advance, Bob
Bob,2.4D Workmate A/T 4x4 – 3.583:1
2.4D Workmate M/T 4x4 – 4.1:1
SR V6 A/T 4x4 – 3.909:1
SR 2.8D A/T – 3.909:1
SR 2.8D M/T – 3.583:1
Overseas they also come in a 4.5:1 ratio and a 4.3:1 ratio.
4.5 is not available to order locally but 4.3:1 is.4.3:1 Front ratio = 4120109C80
4.3:1 Rear ratio = 4120109B90
You’d have to wait until it is ordered and delivered from Thailand and also pay genuine Toyota prices.
4.3’s would be 100% perfect for a 34” tyre on a 2.8D4D A/T
I was “this” close to ordering them for my hilux & running 34's/35's, but changed my mind at last minute prior to order and will follow it up down the track.
The other ratios, and requirements for tyre diameters you can work out with simple mathematics:(Original Diff Ratio) divided by (Original Tyre Diameter) multiplied by (Proposed Tyre Diameter) = final drive ratio
(3.909 / 30.6”) X (34”) = 4.34:1
Regarding interchangeability with N70……front end is interchangeable and same Clamshell design and size. Therefore the 4.3:1 option is ideal for N70 owners now. They just need to find an aftermarket 4.3 ratio for the rear.
Rear end is not interchangeable as N80 runs 8.8” center as opposed to N70’s 8.0” rear center.

Hi Max, are all hilux n80 in different countries are the same diffs? I mean if i ordered that 4.3 ratios, will it be sure that it will fit to my hilux n80 particularly philippine market
