Well I got the transmission guard but still waiting for the front/engine guard.
When I complained to TJM they sent me a couple of TJM caps and TJM stubbie holders.;)

Very expensive and the angle of the sump looks very steep.

I have bashed out my TJM guards heaps of times with a larger hammer. All the guards I have seen here aren't up to scratch, the designs are poor and waste so much space. Did you see the one on the Top Gear hilux last night, it went behind the sway bar and increased the front angle by heaps. Think I will get one made up or get direct from the USA. Check out rasta4x4.com waiting on a price for there guard.

Id be interested in a price on that rasta one. What stuffs up the hilux are the 2 brackets behind the bashplate from the bottom of the radiator support to the next crossmember.

if we could modify that bracket, we would gain atleast an inch and a half on extra clearance, and almost never hit as your tyres would be going over the obstacle before your bashplate gets near it.

Thou, are we allowed to modify crossmembers and chasssis brackets? is it legal?
