Aus Cruise by Autron is the way to go. Uses electronic control of the throttle.

Australian made and a major supplier to OEMs.

I don't have it on the lux but do on another vehicle and will change the lux soon. I currently have a pedal pull system and it is shit!!

I had it fitted last november and I absolutely love it!!!!!!!!! One of the best mods I ever made. 800 fitted and works a treat, just like oem. DO IT if you are doing big distances.

It has clutch cut out, preset speeds, and steering wheel mounted controls like on a prado.

the website was useless. I went into autoleaders and they organised the whole lot. Its comandcruise with steering wheel paddle. its the only one that will fit our model so if you call the up they will help you out. The website for command was very unhelpful

I also had Cruise by Autron fitted and would not be without it. Work done at Stones Corner while I waited.(3 Hours) All plug and play as all modules are from Prado.

Cheers

Got a quote for Aus Cruise, $700.00 (Beresfield)
Command $1000.00 (Taree)
Is command $300.00 better or is that overpriced?

Aftermarket cruise control

Got my Aus Cruise fitted 18 mo ago to my t/diesel auto and very happy with it. Only gripe is no Cancel button - only way is to brake/turn off.

Ashley Electrical (Malaga 9249 1234) did the job for $820 incl tax. They came out to my work place and fitted it in the carpark. Would recommend them.

Nsxodus, I thought the same thing, then just the other day, I noticed that I had hit the middle button, by accident, hit it again and then hit resum... and it had remembered the last settings... It will probably make a liar out of me now...LOL. but try it anyway... Cheers TOMUCH

A couple of photos of install, not much to see most of the controlls are behind the dash. Works well though, I do like the 2 preset speeds. Starting to need a aviators licence to operate my lux. she is going to kill me!

I have the Autron system with the steering wheel mounted controller and is far and away the best mod to my hilux. Auto resume is good but I asked for it to be turned off, my missus nearly pranged the ute!! cost 650 fitted in 45 min by bloke in perth.

Macca,
Is there any sort of light to tell when the cruise system is turned on or when its active ?

I enquired about the Autron System today at my a local 4x4 shop, although he had an Autron Brochure in the shop, he said we 'havnt installed one in ages because they're crap' In his opinion the Command is the only way to go, approx $900 installed. I prefer the steering wheel mount with the Autron and the cheaper installed price. I think he said steering was available for the command and it iused IR to transmit to a unit on the dash ? ?

Would seem that here the Autron is more popular. :-)

There is a light but it is hard to see in daylight (the round shape between the up/down arrows). The nice bit is 2 presettable speeds.Macca
