Hi,
I have a D4D with a DieselGas LPG System. I also have a Tunit chip (same as DP, just a different sticker I think?? I bought it through Berrima, then Tunit distributors, now they are DP!).
I can tell you lots about this set up.
Firstly, having your chip set to anything over 7 will mean that at full noise the ECU will go into "limp home" mode as the oxygen and EGT sensors (apparantly) recieve info out of specs and put the motor into safety mode. Just turn the truck off, and back on and then your back in business. I have my chip on 6 and have not had this problem anymore.
Check out this link to the DieselGas website to see my trucks dyno...

Scroll down halfway to see my truck.
I couldn't recomend this kit anymore... just awesome. I get about 1200-1400km from 120-125L diesel, and 35-40L LPG depending on city/highway use.
The power is awesome, and the fuel economy is brilliant.
For a 2+ tonne truck it absolutely flies... I blow off WRX's in 2nd through 3rd gear!!
Heaps of torque and it just keeps pulling!
I'm looking to put a better exhaust on it, as the 2.5" I have now wasn't such a great install.
Give Brad, Matt or Charlie a call at DieselGas on 02 4721 3675. Sydney, they have other affiliates across the country as well.
These guys are very honest and professional. The install they did on my truck is first class, and they actually service my truck now as well.
If your truck is privately registered you'll get the $2k rebate.
No chance of blowing the motor with or without a chip. The LPG injection means that the motor runs cleaner, cooler and more efficiently. The motor will just go into "limp home" mode alot of the chip is set too high.
Hope this helps, let me know if you need any other details.
