It seems a little dear given the things you've seen and the kM. Remember it has no new car warranty left, probably needs tyres, rego?, needs a clutch and you are up for about $1200 stamp duty and transfer on top of that. Given you can buy a 2015-16 Demo SR5 with 3000kM on it still with new car warranty drive away for $50k advertised (meaning negotiate it down) you can see what I mean. Examples just to show what I'm getting at:

Some cheaper Private (but you will pay stamp duty on top of these):

Here is a couple more to consider for comparison, just filtered by kM and in NSW (added the last one for thought!):

My 2010 dual cab auto SR5 was $46k as a demo with 3000kM on it covered in options. They went up a bit by 2014 but I just feel $40k is too much for one that sounds like it has had a bit of a hard life, which in itself isn't too much of an issue. But when you can buy lower kM cars better looked after for close to the same money.....
Make sure whatever you buy has been serviced by time or km (whichever comes first).
Don't be scared off by autos either, once you own one you will never buy a manual again.
