I was always concerned about losing the spare.... either by theft, or by that flimsy chain breaking sending a hefty great wheel/tyre into what ever was following....
I wrapped the chain around twice and used a padlock to hold the four links together..... I'd expect that if one link broke - the other would keep it safe.....
I'm not totally convinced that the anchor is sound enough - I may look at fitting something a little more substantial later.....
And - I do understand that these vehicles are designed primarily for industry.... but for goodness sake, they are designated as AUV...... what the heck is a person supposed to do if you get stuck up to the "gunnels" and need the assistance of the spare to get you out.........? wake up please mr Tojo.......
Tinsy little 76 litre tank and a spare .... got to be a better place for the spare - replaced by a decent tank....
