Thats way over. The 255 will be ok on the 7"rim as the SR5 has 255/70/ on a 15x7" rim.

Welcome Alphamax to the forum.
I was going to lock your topic as we have plenty of general tyre asking questions on this forum (so the search engine returns cleaner results) and direct you to the quick reference thread finder and ask you to use the Which tyre next thread at the bottom to ask you question.
Here is the thread finder.

But I had an idea we seem to have a lack of any useful threads for sub 31 inch tyres so with your permission I would like to change the topic title to "29" and 30" tyre discussion thread" or something similar??? And add it to the quick reference thread finder above? We can then direct questions by members enquiring about similar size tyres to this thread.
Also once you have the wheel combo sorted out we would like to hear how you went by adding your experience to this thread.

Unfortunately most members on here have fitted 31" or larger tyres so we miss the valuable info for fitting close to stock tyre sizes. And would like to put in in one place.
Good luck mate.
Im sure some members on here will twist your arm and say go the 31's.
Cheers

I have a 2013 SR5 hilux dual cab. I want to fit some new tyres soon, im considering cooper AT/3's. Can i go any larger than standard without a suspension lift i.e. 31's or should i stick to the standard size? Tyres are currently 265/65/17
