Bugger is right
Posted up so others can learn thru my trial
Im determined to make it work though.
The kit looks good but I think there just hasnt been enough field testing on the hilux
Not keen on running without sway bar at least on highway for insurance purposes
No state allows sway bar removal to be engineered
I had a look at my sway bar - looks like I have either installed it 5mm off centre or it has shifted overtime
Will loosen off and move back to centre.
The struts do come with sway bar relocators but I already had MR slimline re-locators installed
The ones in the kit are thick alloy - might try them and see if the radiator bracket fouls the SB
Anyone come across ABS lines getting severed before?
Does anyone know if it is legal to reconnect an ABS line... insurance issue?
In the mean time I have re-routed the ABS line to the back of the bracket and bent the bracket back a few mm.
Lucky the passenger side didnt break thru
Thought I'd replace a bit of the estimated 30ml of CV grease I lost
Air compression made it a bit of a bugger to draw up and syringe the grease - didnt have a spare grease gun
Gave the burred strut stems a tickle up
And the passenger side
About 0.5mm clearance at full extension
Reused the old boot clamp here - more of an experiment to see if it will hold if I had to do this out bush
Will replace it with new clamp when the new strut mount spacers arrive
