Rock Sliders for Gen 8

Rock Sliders for Gen 8

Postby McFuzzy on Tue, 31 Jan 2017 3:22 +0000

Hey all,

I'm looking at fitting Rock Sliders to my 2016 Dual Cab. Has anybody fitted there's out with them? If so what brand did you choose? Where did you buy them? What was the cost? Can you attach some pics please?

I'm looking at genuine rock sliders not side steps like ARB only make!

Thanks in advance...

Another option is find someone in your area that makes custom 4x4 gear or like rock crawler buggy and ask them to knock you up a set. you wil prob save a packet and get something a lot stronger.
If it has tits or wheels ....it'll cost ya money

just note that sliders need to be ADR approved, depending if you care or not I guess

read this thread, Paul from Phat bars confirmed it, as well as the ADR testing facility

"I finally have some clarity on this topic. I own PHAT Bars and have been chasing my tail trying to get Air bag approval for my sidesteps.
Yes, there is an approval."

They're not up on the website yet, but there's a few photos of them on their facebook page.

Phat bars, just bought/installed mine and they are perfect.
Great protection, perfect fit, perfect quality construction.
Buy up on other stuff in the one purchase for a deal.

For those with Phat bars sliders

Angled or alley step??

I can’t decide. But leaning towards angled.

Can you step on them to access the roof? I’m always using the roof racks.

The angled sliders are mint but I having a family I could use a step. I want the angled ones but am thinking I’ll pull the trigger on Phatbars with alley step.

There’s enough sticking out to step on, so yes you can use them to access the roof.

I’m sure the flat ones are better for that though. And probably better for a family also.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

I have phat bars angled alloy stepped rocksliders. have had em since end of 2017. they've copped some serious hits over time and handle it well. have now incorporated front and rear brush bars into the rocklsiders too.

I'd like to re-use the topic to ask if anybody can tell me Rugged-X's sliders part number?

Has anyone had any experience with the Legendex sliders? They look pretty good and the guy I spoke to said they’re between angled and a flat step. Any recommendations?
