I look at it this way, if I was to buy a Holden ute there is no way in hell i'd buy an SV6 over an LS3 powered SS or SSV despite the $10-$15k price difference. I feel the same way about Hiluxes, better engine, better to drive and a bit more fuel (and often cheaper fuel too, at the moment in Newcastle diesel is $1.18, E10 is $1.03 which almost negates the fuel saving with the diesel around town). And in the Toyota you don't pay more for the better and from my eyes more reliable engine! Just my thoughts anyway. If I was doing 50,000kM a year I might think differently. I agree with Hilux Max too, i'd sell mine tomorrow if a decent petrol V8 example was available, like an LS3 in a Colorado. Or the Lexus LX570 V8 in a Hilux sized vehicle. I don't want a Tundra or F250 sized vehicle, way too impractical for everyday use.
