2k and I can ship, they are still original packaging and they come with overhaul kit, my reason for sale is that my hilux was stolen.

My Lux is an 05 model, manual D4D running 265/75/16s. Thing is the car came with this sized tyres when I bought it 2 years ago, so I've never experienced overly great economy etc (about 11-12l/100km)
Has anyone here done the regeared to from 3.58 to 3.9s running the above tyre size and if so was the difference around town and in economy noticeable?
Further, aside from diff oil, will there be any other parts I'll need to complete the swap (or is recommended?). I can't afford to get them rebuilt so I'll be going out on faith that the diffs are in pretty good nick (touch wood)

Steve. Ive driven a mate of mine McSumWays who has done the regear and mine which is on stock ratios and the same 32'' rubber. The regear makes them feel more responsive and you can cruise nicely sitting at 100kph and not need to change down to 4th on a steeper incline. When funds permit and you can get them rebuilt and if you want to fit a locker get them to put solid spacers into the diffs and remove the crush tubes.
Cheers
Mark

Fair enough about lockers and LSD. For all the mucking around of doing the swap would it be worth just running smaller dia tyres if you are doing a lot of road Ks.

Lucky for me a good mechanic has set up shop in town.
If I have read correctly, no one does after market 4.1's for hilux.
I'm guessing that includes this?
