This was in relation to the pricing being released for the new Ford Ranger which comes in at $60,000 for the top of the range wildtrak....and Toyota has just dropped prices on the Hilux in response. The new 2012 Lux SR5 manual TD is $50,990, a drop of $2,700 and that's after adding $2,700 worth of additional eqipment including sat nav.
Won't be too many previous model SR5 Lux owners rabbiting on about their resales. They've just had $5k+ removed off their second-hand values after one press release. That would make them the fastest depreciating DC ute out there at the moment.
