The facelifted hilux is available to order now, as they've stopped importing the current shaped one. Engine Upgrade? you and the rest of us are still dreaming. Not until a brand new shape hilux, which aint due for a while yet.

Possible, if we're lucky, TRD will bring out a boosted diesel hilux.

[quote=""]It is equipped with the 3.0-litre D-4D engine that already features in the Hilux Invincible, but thanks to a Toyota Motorsport diesel engine performance kit, maximum output is increased to a massive 194bhp (197 DIN hp). This slashes the nought to 62mph acceleration time from 13.0 to 10.5 seconds (11.4 seconds for automatic versions).quote]

Very interested... Upgrade for the D4D.

Maxx I was just refering to this post??? Was wondering whether this was true or not :) ????

From the attached article-

The Commercial Vehicle Show marks the debut of a new Hilux version that is set to become the most powerful production pick-up model on the UK market. With numbers limited to just 500 units, it also promises to be one of the most sought-after, too.

It is a limited edition run for the UK.

Sorry for the confusion, i'm just curious as to whether this "toyota genuine" performance upgrade will be transferable to the current D4D. How do they boost the figures that much? Will a this genuine accessory affect my warranty?

Production started this month of the "Face lift" hilux and my dealer is expecting his first delivery late Sept. I will be talking to him Friday to find out more.

Thanks.

Would be nice to know what extra goodies they intend to provide as part of the SR5 extra cabs :)

Cheers
