Anti-corrosive grease, suppose to apply it to the exposed metal.

Sounds a bit temporary for my liking. I'd go with some zinc paint like I used in my roof rack install.
What do you use BH?

Went to the Sydney 4WD Adventure show yesterday - was good with some very good specials.

What was interesting was looking at the various snorkel kits available and because most were fitted to Hilux's with bars that had no wing plates you could look up inside the wheel arch.

All were very restrictive with the poor design of what would resemble a "max flow Venturi".

Not one of them came close to the Design or Quality of what BH has posted up.

And they won't. Toyota has now patented the design.

Well have had mine on for 2weeks and done my usual driving! I have NEVER got 740km out of a tank of fuel!! Usually 650km and I'm happy. I think Toyota and Denso are on to something and as per usual everybody will scramble to keep up. Great post BH and thanks again for helping make my decision in which snorkel to install. I couldn't be happier. Yet to test it on some river crossings up the cape though!!

You are more then welcome. I did get a video of the test hilux with water over the bonnet. I will try to refined it.

Hi BH,

Any chance of a photo from under the bonnet? keen to see how it joins up to the intake. Also, can you recommend a particular dealership over here in WA? (send me a PM maybe?)

cheers,
Jon

Hi look at the way the under bonnet looks now. After fitment it will look identical. The rubber oring type seals work perfectly. Fully warranted. Image

I got mine from Mandurah $500 supplied and fitted it myself. I think they wanted $750 fitted.

Dealership has a promo on this snorkel and some may have one or two in stock otherwise they will order it in. If you go into city toyota which is the big toyota dealership then your chances are even better.

Looks real good.

I trust Denso products and like Boxhead wrote earlier, they seem the goods with the quality.
Cheers
