OK so you order a car which is currently unavailable from a company managed from a country who is recovering from a earthquake/tsunami/nuclear meltdown whos many parts suppliers are shut down/wiped out and then complain about waiting an extra 7 days over what they told you.. something wrong here.

as for the rear seat belt, yep does seem crazy to me as well and a full proper seat belt should be law, however toyota are a big company, expecting them to care more about anything than sales numbers(or more specifically, return on net assets) is dreaming. and currently demand exceeds supply, plants running 100%, its all perfect in there eyes.

In the interest of clarity, I am not having a go at anyone and I agree with a lot of the comments on this topic. I think people just need to choose something worthy of getting frustrated about. Like our PM. who said that.

Toyota is a very good company as is Toyota Australia, try dealing with Nissan and you will soon find out what a bad company to deal with is. There support is very good, I would think that the individual dealers might be the problem
You guys that are waiting on deliveries need to take a chill pill, manufacturing in Japan is in a bit of chaos still, I know our utes are made in Thailand but a lot of the componentry still comes ou of Japan.
It is affecting other vehicle manufacturers as well, I know that Porsche deliveries world wide have been delayed because they cannot get some ECU component that they source from Japan and we have experienced supply problems with Daikin air conditioners as a result as well and can imagine that this is happening in all other supply facets as well.
So if you look at the bigger picture, a couple of utes coming to Australia is not really on the radar so take it easy, I am sure it will be worth the wait.

I think it is great that the other manufacturers are giving Toyota a hard time, can't wait for the next gen Hilux to arrive.
On the internet you can be anything you want. It is strange that so many people choose to be stupid!

Got phone call 8/9 it is now confirmed on boat and may have early next month all going well. Only person slightly unhappy is person who bought my old one, as he has sold his and cant get mine till new one turns up. Pricing will be renegotiated with dealer when it turns up. By mid October should have it. Ordered last March.

I've been told mine should be here on the 21st, they couldn't tell me if I could get it with the radio shambles, and I doubt I will have a ARB deluxe bar for a bit, unless someone from ARB got one nice and early

My SR xtra cab will be avaliable for delivery on Thursday 22nd. Ordered mine with the ARB sahara bar however ARB havent designed one to fit the new model yet so everyone with ARB gear will have to wait for a month or two.
Only the SR5's are affected by the stereo saga.
Good news on the new model pricing. Managed to get some dollars slashed off the final line as my pricing was based on the previous model. SR's now $4500 cheaper. If I was ordering now though I would go for the SR5 extra cab, a massive $5500 cheaper than the old one. Looks like Toyota does mean business!
Has anyone got theres yet?

4x4's will now be available in workmate versions......

Workmate single cab chassis D4D M/T = $31,990
Workmate single cab chassis D4D A/T = $33,990

Workmate Dual Cab D4D M/T = $38,990
Workmate Dual cab D4D A/T = $40,990

For comparison, an SR Dual Cab D4D A/T = $44,490, so a couple grand saving to be had!

Edit: SR Dual Cab pickup has the option of VSC should you wish to purchase it...so its not only the SR5 that has it as standard.

Brakes on sr5 got upgraded around September 2010.
It was with 17 inch wheels! Along with other updates!
New DENSO Injectors are the go! New genuine parts.
