Just a thought, you can use spacers and longer bolts to lower the bash plate the same amount as the diff drop instead of moding it.

Yeah don't really want to space it down but would be a quick fix

You buy the cut out section around the diff and weld it in to yr bash plate from MR.

Thats a good idea, never thought of that. When i get a bigger lift i wont need to worry about a new bashplate or the hump welded in!

Also I've stripped the thread on one of the nuts that the plate bolts into, anyone know how i can re use it? Cut a bigger thread or something?

Heres an old pic of when I modified my TJM bashplates several years ago to accomadate one of the first brackets that came out.

I used longer bolts, mounted up the plate until the plate touched the pumpkin. I then got a texter anmd conservatively drew around the pumpkin on the top side of the diff.

I then removed the bashplate, cut out the section, and reinstalled it for another trial fit. Did this several times until I got the shape I wanted with a couople mm spare all around, then welded my own "pumpkin protector" out of 10mm steel plate.

Image

I also cut small section out where they were touching "just" ion the bracket themselves, and here I welded 8mm strips over the top. The rest of the 3mm plate got another 3mm plate welded over the top once all was done.

hey mate appreciate it if you can measure out from each side so i can work out where to cut and weld the hump in would appreciate it heaps dude !!!, and i noticed a bit of the passenger side needs to come off so the bracket clears the plate too so if you can measure that up too.

appreciate the hell out of it dude, will make it heaps easier than trial and error cause its a bit hard to line it up and work it out under the car :\
