AC condensate tube

Postby gargamel330 on Sun, 27 Feb 2011 10:43 +0000

I was under the car the over day and noticed that the AC condensate tube that comes out of the firewall. Drips straight onto the clutch release cylinder and front prop shaft, I noticed a bit of rust starting on the prop shaft. I thus got a bit of fuel hose and extended the tube down away from everything. Just something I noticed.

yeh I've noticed it to my mechanic and I suspects that's the reason I have a squeaky clutch I would recommend everyone doing this before it becomes a problem

Could be worse lol my mate not long bought a new navara... i know that was his first mistake, but after the first 1500kms he noticed the carpet on the passenger side was wet. He pulled it out and the car was full of water, after a bit of a look arround he notice the aircon drain was inserted upside down, so nothing was draining it was all flowing into the cab... 1500kms of nth qld humidity lol
Im not stuck..... Im thinking

I bought a TD V8 trayback from a Nth Qld dealership, was pissing down rain as I drove it away and I had the aircon turned right up.
Saw some drops of water hitting the floormat, thought something might have been icing up.
Got to my mates place hour and a half later, was a fair bit of water building up.
Stuck my head up under the dash, the bloody drain tube wasn't even through the hole in the firewall
