You all are not going to believe this. 7 days after I get my new hilux I am driving down a major road and this chap jumps the intersection in front of me.

Flattened the bumper, pushed the passenger side fender about 4 inches back, kinked the passenger door, shattered the windscreen and triggered the airbags.

We are hosting part of the Cricket World Cup here in Guyana and we have lots of foreigners driving. He lives in America where they drive on the right and he was looking in the wrong direction.

His was a rental car and his insurance barely covers half of my damage.

7 days old! Just over 600km on the odometer. :(

Damn that has to suck in a big way. I would be taking the insurance company to court... have you got insurance yourself? If so leave it up to your insurance company to take care of it :)

Hope you come out of it OK..... Cheers

Just do it through your own insurance company and they can chase the other company for their money back. They have lawers for that. It should not adversly effect your insurance if the accident was not your fault.
