hi all
having major issues with front left rotor warping and sometimes it surges while slow breaking.
about 3 yrs ago, had new dimpled and slotted rotors fitted along with Bendix 4wd pads, rear drums were machined and new shoes fitted.
about 10 mths later, front left rotor started to warp again in the same manner as the previous rotor. had it lightly machined about 6 mths ago. all was well for about 4 mths and the warping has started again.
i have no idea what's causing the warping and surging / sticking like pulsating feeling when slowing down. more apparent when brakes heat up. the pulse feeling not coming through the drums, as I've done the handbrake test. it definitely feels through the foot pedal.
we have utes at work (Hilux and great wall) and they never seem to warp
is there any braking mob in Perth (north / south of river- prefer south) that can test the braking times from each wheel and see which brake is doing most of the braking whether a calliper is not functioning properly ?
Also, must add, the hand brake has been adjusted a number of times and i still get a run through the hand brake and no way can i lock up the rears, it feels as though the hand brake runs / slips slowly until a part of the shoe grabs the drum when i park up.
