Toyota Performance Kit (TTE) 145kw from D4D

What are your thoughts on this product. Am waiting for a reply to see how much and if it will work for au delivered vehicle. I can get the same product from Toyota Dealer in Germany for $1400 landed here. no duty payed as said it was second hand.

Steinbauer is a good German Name. Could this Deutch Toyota part be a re-badged Steinbauer? Doesn't it have a lead to each injector?

Any thoughts form somebody who has fitted a Steinbauer?

This kit is very similar to the Steinbauer in that it connects to each injector. Whether or not it works the same??? Seems to have similar kw/Nm increases.

I like that this is being released on trucks in the U.K... it has good warranty implications! And maybe Toyota might release it here? Not holding my breath though.

Toyota AU will not supply this as I had word from head office parts help desk today. Waiting for a responce from TTE direct. I will let you know what transpires.

I have recently had a Morepower Tuning Box fitted to my Ute (www.morepower.com.au). The person that fitted it for me advised that getting the power out of the Hilux is not to difficult it is getting the clutch to with stand it. Recently did a Hilux where person asked for power went from 89kw at back wheel on dyno to 115kw but clutch only lasted a week. I had a conservative setting done on mine unfortunately did not get b4 or after on the dyno but definate power and trqe increase along with improved fuel ecmy.

New flash,
Just got off the phone from the cheif engineer of this product in Germany, Friedel Beyer. He is sending me a quote for this part and it is fully compatable with our Hilux. He advised that Touota Au is currently testing this product with the likly hood of it being introduced here. He was very knowlegable about the TRD hilux and was here for the launch in Melbourne.

I will advise of costs.
