I have tried reversing my snorkle around but it doesn't make any difference. I averaged 11.5L per 100kms on my 1200k round-trip just recently and that's with a roof top tent on. I'm stoked.

Manual SR D4D

Only done City driving so far with all the extra gear on it, allowing for the larger tyres in the cal's 12.5L/100 with 200kg load usually, been the same towing large tool trailer as well.
First tank used combo Hwy/City 9.72L/100 before accesories and bigger tyres.

V6 Auto SR Dual Cab 4WD

Last tank I filled up at 13.9 L/100.
I guess an average of 14 L/100.

The best I have ever done was on the high way using 12.9 L/100 but I have never done that again.

My biggest fuel economey problem is that I like the V6 power to much, you know when you have to be the first on away from the traffic lights

Manual SR Dual Cab D4D

I run my vehicle on a fuel card and the average after 55000 kms is around 10l/100km. Combination of city and highway driving and usually the highway driving is with a trailer loaded up to 700kgs.
Including around 4000km offroad.

Couldn't be happier.8-) 8-) 8-)
I have nothing good to say down here so I wont say anything at all

Just did 3 days driving to and from Brisbane from coast and a little in town each end. Sat on easy 110klm on freeway and 100 Klm when had to.

11.7 L/100 Klm

I had 470Klm on trip metre and though I should fill up but light was not on. It only took 55 Litres upto the click, click on the pump. But around town it goes up to 13/14 depending how much I enjoy the power. 8-)

2005 SR Turbo Diesel (standard 63L tank).
Aluminium tray with canopy, tool boxese & water tanks, 15 inch rims with 9 " tyres (none of this good for fuel economy)!

10L/100km driving at 100-105kms/hr. (highway...live in the country).

Hi Rich,
To change from one measure to the other is as follows.

1. Go to the average fuel consumtion display.
2. Press and hold "Info" button until measure starts to flash. "L/100km or Km/l"
3. Press "Reset" button to change from one to the other.
4. Press "Info" button to return to display.

I do not understand why this is not printed in the manual.

GOOD LUCK Rich.

Regards,
Camwill69;)

Gidday all, I have just finished a trip from darwin to Brisbane return... I was carrring a full load in the tray and a roof rack sack fully loaded.. I averaged approx 12l/100 averaging 105km/h...Between Tennent Creek and Darwin I sat on 130 km/h and averaged 13.5 l/100 but I had more gear and two extra people in the back seat... I drive a D4D Dual Cab SR5 "TOMUCH" I have a Longranger tank fitted and managed the drive from Tennent Creek to Katherine without refueling...Only refueled there as a precaution... from my calculations I may not have needed it ...total distance was 1010kms by the speedo...Cheers

I have a 2.7 litre 4 cylinder petrol 2wd ute, I travel 1200km's per week to work and use Lucas Fuel Cleaner/Top end lube. Currently I am getting 11.5 litres per 100km's on the open road, very hilly roads and long stretches. 8-)

D4D - I generally get around 9.4 driving around every day. Best I ever got was 7.7 dawdling around the Gawler ranges and the worst was 11.2 in sand. I actually find the economy can improve driving around the city!!!!
