17x9 18 Offset Rims on 2012 SR5 DC

Hi guys, i want to know if anyone has actually got 17x9 with 18 offset on a 2012 SR5 DC Hilux?? and if so what tires they have used... YES IVE USED THE SEARCH FUNCTION!! and can see a lot of people think they will fit etc... but would to hear from someone that actually has them on a car and if there are any issues (beside sticking out the guard a bit)

I have 17x9 Gauntlets (+25) on my 2012 SR5 with 32" geolandar AT-S rubber. Fits perfect, almost no rubbing (very minor on front mud guards on full lock). They sit just inside the guards so no issue there either.

Does the offset make a lot of difference here?? Ie standard rim offset will fit ?? They say max
Size width rim for tyre does this hurt its offload ability ???

standard size is 17x7.5 +30 offset for the 2011-on SR5, so when you going lower, the centre of the wheel is gonna sit towards the outside of the car more. For eg.

Zero Offset - 0 Offset

The hub mounting surface is even with the centerline of the wheel.

Positive - + Offset

The hub mounting surface is toward the front or wheel side of the wheel. Positive offset wheels are generally found on front wheel drive cars and newer rear drive cars.

Negative - - Offset

The hub mounting surface is toward the back or brake side of the wheels centerline.

Depends if you want the wheels flush with the guards or not, or have an aggressive look with the wheels outside the guards (which will attract the boys in blue a lot more).
