Andy's 02 xcab (turbo 3rz build)

Hey guys

I started off with this hilux, built it up from stock


Then sold it for this money pit

2" + 2" Sus and body lift
Front auto lokka
33x10.5x17 rims n tyres
DBA slotted rotors with bendix 4wd brakes
Tinted windows
Electric windows
Adjustable Ranchos all round
Rust proffed
Kicker 12" sub and amp

what gear are you goin to run, Turbo, rods, pistons, engine management, injectors?

man i had a second look at your lux and i think i prefer it more with the 33inch claws over the 35's...just my opinion...looks a bit more in proportion, could just be me...but looks wiked either way

Bought a spare overheated 3rz engine for $100 from a guy that was going to turbo.

I stripped it all down to just the block, took the valve cover off to find alot of sludge.

Welcome mate....haven't seen your hilux in ages....it'd be atleast a couple years on 4WD action forum I reckon.....once the engine is done what next?

I dont run 35's anymore they were to big when offroad.

these are the rims im running now with 33" mt atz's

Update

Still waiting on the 1 bowed piston that won't fit to send back to the states. Once done I wont be dealing with paradise racing again. The owner is fig useless with shipping.

Bought slotted rotors for my hilux for a bit more stopping power when the turbo goes in. Still trying to find a set of performance brake pads. Thinking about getting the bendix 4x4 ones but dunno.

I'm picking up a 600x300 intercooler and sard 1000cc injectors next Friday. Then all I need is a computer.

where did you get your sr5 head lights from and was there much work to getting them in

I'll be interested to see what you think of the brake upgrade Andy... something I've considered for mine although for offroad I've heard some say to stay away from slotted rotors and crap getting in them???
