1uz VVTI 2007 HiLux

Hi Guys ,
Has any one done a 1uz conversion to a post 2005 Desiel HiLux?

why would you want to? the V6 is plenty strong and performs well as is let alone the aftermarket performacne accessories that can turn it into a real monster......a 1UZ isnt worth the hassle/effort in my opinion in these new luxes.

If you're gonna transplant something with the mindset of extra power down the track, go a 5VZ V6. Iron block is something the 1GR wishes it had.
But mmaaxx is right, the V8's are good, but it's not til you hit around 250-300fwkw that you start to notice.
