Nope... stuck on the computer working my ass off - hopefully something soon though. I've been working on a land access deal for wheeling which looks like it's a goer and will secure the future of local 4WDing in our area + once the '86 is built I'll be doing a lot more crawling

Nice truck mate. Love the rear bar. Have you upgraded your cv's at all or are you running the standard cv's?

Standard CV's... I've exploded a few but I have a solution to that sitting in my shed, I just need to modify my front diff to be non-ADD which I now have all the parts for... I'll be starting work on it this w/end with a full write-up to follow.

Check out some of the RCV gear to see where I'm heading with this...

Cheers Max... yeah it took a while to track down a front housing for the right price, plenty of ppl out there ready to fleece you for some scrap... Brooksy hooked me up though.

Hey mate just wondering what type/brand of suspension you have on your lux all round. And did you have to modify the steering, cvs or anything in the front end with the extra height. Cheers.

Rears:
- 2" lifted OME springs (constant 120kg with the retainer bolts removed)
- BUDS Customs extended shackles
- Rancho 9000 shocks

Front:
- Factory torsion bars wound right up to match rear lift
- bump stops have been shaved 10mm
- Ironman foamcell shocks
- Swaybar removed
- Factory CV's (in the process of changing these out for some RCV's)

Steering:
- I opened up the splined joint when I did the 2" body lift... no need to do this when lifting the suspension only.

So it's a bit of a mixed bag... I'm happy with the OME springs but I would prefer different shocks, prob Bilstein or similar.

Hope this helps.

E

Nice build mate.
This might be a better solution for your shifter
http://www.lceperformance.com/Short-Shi ... 097008.htm
it fits, adds back 1" to the shifter length and you get the bonus short throw!
also a 90series prado intercooler is almost a direct fit, especially with a body lift.

Nothing to write home about... just doing a few drives that's all.

Cheers, shifter has been great since we sorted it out... looks like a good bit of kit though.

C44F are locate in Greenbank QLD... Brooksy has been building some Ultra4 stuff lately but I'm sure he'd still to some barwork, if not you could try Buds.

Nothing new except some more body damage :( cab mounts need rebuilding as they have been desroyed but the drive train is still sweet. I've done a fixed shaft conversion on the front diff to remove the ADD from that part of the drive line.

Cheers lads... nothing on the '86 as of yet, thinking of getting something complete and rego'd instead then modifying after... I'll part out anything I don't use to get some coin back although it only owes me about $600 now.
