Thought I'd post some pics of my brothers 2004 single cab - seeing as everyone getts aroused by sas jobs...

One of Bubs ifs steering box relocation plates , dobinson 4 inch flexy coils for a patrol ( just worked better than the 80 series coils we used first ) and superior engineering adjustable panhard (custom sized to suit the car ) and drag link .
Image
Image
A way too short set of ranchos and some butchered shock hoops . The shocks have since been swapped out for a longer set .Image
Playing on the travel ramp to test the set up . Checking for binding and clearance issues.

Test drive at Ormeau . He didn't break it this time. You can see the dobinson X-link on the front diff , and the redneck stacks Disclaimer - I take no responsibility for any redneck action in this tread.

Here's a better shot of the x-link . The truck is a 3lt turbo diesel with lpg injection . It runs airlockers front and rear with 5.29 gears and twin transfer cases . In this pic it has a 2 inch body lift , but thats been removed to lower the centre of gravity a bit.
Image
Parked next to my wifes 2inch lifted 32inch tyred Grand Cherokee at Eli Creek , Fraser Island . Shane never got to put it in 4wd at Fraser . It rained so the sand was firm , plus 35inch mtzs on such a light car means you don't sink in much.I told him he just wasn't trying hard enough...

Last time I flew down to see him we did some work on the surf rear with lengthed 80 series lower arms and standard 80 series lower arms in the uppers , bilsteins on the old a-frame shock mounts from the leaf set-up and adjustable panhard.
You can see the lpg tank in the front of the diff . The fuel tank has to move to make room for the arms. Its now behind the diff.Image
Image
Image
Its now being coverted to auto and the boys have tubbed the front guards to make room for bigger rubber at the lower ride height if he ever prioritises 4wding over drinking.( some can do both - I've read about it in books. )
So I just have to make my 2010 SR just a little bit more capable than this ...

Max , the car the auto came from runs 4.88 from the factory - so 5.29 is actually not even low enough to bring it back to stock ratios with the 35s! Thats why it has dual transfers .
Hah hah 3d , its not your car you need to worry about with the grinder , you 've seen what he can do to human flesh with one!!!

Superior supa flex front arms and some longer ranchos - just have to limit the up travel to not bottom out the shock.
Image
It has staun internal bead locks to keep the tyres on at low pressures . Much better than a mechanical beadlock if you drive like shane as they push both beads on evenly - not just the outer like a bolt-on job.

Yeah . He's in the army , I did the sas for him while he was in Afghanistan and he's away with the army again for 3 months so it takes a while for things to happen sometimes .

The patrol coils are mounted on the standard 79 series coil mounts ( same as 80 series coil seats ) . Had to use patrol coils as they have a slightly offset base which helped align the coils to the slimmer hilux chassis . The front diff is from a 79 series cruiser ute which is not as wide as a 80 series .

Nah, having dramas getting a bellhousing for the auto so might just junk the diesel and swap in a lexus and auto instead.
I wanna cut the front sus out n run coilovers too cause the front shocks are stillll too short. On coilovers I could take somemore height out of it and gain down travel at the same time . I don't like the angle the radius arms are at, even though it has factory alignment now they still look too steep so it might need some drop boxes fabbed . Shane tells me they have some funky grille in the hiluxes over there so he's looking to "confiscate" one!

PS- MY wife hates this car more than mine - I reckon she should be happy that this one doesn't cost her any money!!

what about some custom arms that what i plan on doing im also making radius arm mounts so they will be a tad lower still going to need about 9 degree correction.your wife probably hates it cause it smells like beer and covered in dog fur
