I bought a 1984 Hilux single cab, Complete car With the most rusted out cab but somehow a decent Chassis/Driveline.
Same weekend i Bought a 2wd Extra Cab, Just cab with one door, one guard, Most of Dash, Carpet and all glass.
First thing we did was dump the 84 Body, There was nothing salvagaeable off it.
Cut off all mounts on chassis that werent needed, Cut off front tray mounts for Cab to clear them (being Extra Cab).
I bought a few bits to get me started from Lowrange Offroad.
Mounted the Drop hanger and Burnt it on.
Thats as far as i got when i decided to pull the pin on it (Decided a holiday was better) and i sold off all the bits id bought. But a month or so later i decided i was finishing it and Ordered everything to get the front end done.
On Order: Still waiting on it all to arrive..

09 Rear diff, May use needs full rebuild but i have an Auto Locker to use with it.

8" Rear shackles
U bolt flip rear
Rear Diff rebuild kit
All this is to just get it to a point where i can send the Chassis to get Blasted, Zinced and Powdercoated and i can Start the Body work.
I'm doing Standard Rears up Front and Ifs Rears. 14" Shock front 10" Rear.
Hopefully have all the chassis sorted in the next two months and get the Cab painted and Refitted.
Will be going a 3Rz with Single Transfer and reduction gears, 4.88 Centers.
I Also picked up a set of 15x8-44 Rims and 35x12.5 Mtr's (Old Pattern) Using these for mock up and will have rims powder coated with chassis and may get new tyres before its finished.
Original shock mounts removed.
