2006 Jan hilux info

Hi guys, I'm very knew to this forum, was hoping someone could help me out with some information on my 2006 Jan
1kdftv kun26r hilux. I know there are some differences, came with carpet, has a 3 pin rail plug and the egr is different,
I would love to know about the egr and if it will throw codes if I block it? Thankyou guys

Welcome mate. Im sure the powers that be will move ya thread to the rite section! There is a whole thread on blocking the egr on our utes but from memory if yours doesn't have an egr cooler then you can fully block it. Most just rum a 7mm hole just incase.

EGR thread here: EGR Block off
Just 59 pages long... and growing. Feel free to add on
In short there are 2 camps: Block or Leave it alone.
Leave alone: EGR is closed/blocked under acceleration anyway. Only open when idling. Carbon captured in Oil
Block: Reduce soot build up in your oil when idling. Carcinogens released into your atmosphere when idling instead. Illegal.


Installing one of these is recommended - separate system from EGR
