Hi all,

Our Hilux is now all but complete and heading off on it's first big trip. Thought I'd share the setup we came up with.

While I admire folk like Maxxx and co who do 90% of the work themselves, I simply don't have the time so much of my work has been pick what I wanted, and have some one else fit it. Both of us have lived and worked in remote areas, so our list of mods is based on some knowledge and experience. As this is our vehicle and not a company machine, we were able to do what we wanted.

Exterior
Safari Snorkel (w/filter sock)
ARB Colour Coded Deluxe Bar
ARB Colour coded side rails and steps
Warn 9.5XP Winch
Hella Rallye DL
Headlight Protectors
Infinity Steel Wheels (x6 w/ BFG AT)
Brown Davis Bash Guards (bullbar to transfer case)
Thule Roof Racks
Thule Roof Basket
Hi Lift & Shovel (mounted on racks)
Spray on tub coating
ARB Tie down rails in tub
Water tank 50L
Trimcast Spacecases
Rear work light

Mechanical & Electrical
Dual battery
Gas bonnet struts
Water watcher
OME suspension kit
ARB Air lockers F&R
ARB Compressor
Longranger 140l fuel tank
Scan Guage II

Interior
Leather Seats
Rubber mats
MSA Seat Covers front
Clarion Head Unit
Hema Navigator
Cobra Cruise control
Turbo timer
Fold down rear seat conversion (Thanks to Stev9r)
UHF GME something
Satphone

There is also a kaymar rear bar with wheel carrier and light, but it wont arrive in time for the trip north, so will get fitted when we return.

Any pics ? And where are you heading off too?
On the internet you can be anything you want. It is strange that so many people choose to be stupid!

Hi all. Thanks for the feedback.

We leave on Friday for a long run up the east coast all the way to the tip. Will have about ten days on the greater Cape, rest will be spent finding beaches etc.

Kyle, we are tent users from way back. Small campsites, not much gear, as we move most days or if we stay put it is to get some photography in.

Pics will come as soon as I can work out how!

Try having a search on here for 'photobucket' its a seperate site that you can up load your photos to then down load them in a file back here, to give you a rough idea. There is a tutorial on here that I used. Figured it out over a few hours.
I like the tent when camping with the wife as well, I have an rv5 oztent, nice an simple.

Enjoy guys and Simon your not related to MR T are you?
