Anyone use a different oil? Something that make the engine run quieter? Mine has a really annoying noise when you coast along maintainin a speed. Like a chatter. I'm sure it isn't injectors. It's only got 62k on the clock.

Castrol diesel cert 4 in mine. Or western oils of same grade. Smooth running except when cold at altitude.

Got the truck in the mechanic today, having the entire intake removed and cleaned, including intake side of head to valves. Went by and checked it out, very clogged with soot. Hope This makes a difference to how it runs as it's makin a big difference to the width of my wallet.
