I am hopefully getting a new MY11 grey SR5 with the same bar. Did you get it colour coded or is it the as comes metallic grey. If it is standard colour does it match the car colour?

Great looking truck there mate. Noticed you have the Goodyear Duratrac tyres. How are you finding them? I'm looking at getting a set in the not too distant future

thanks ben, this is my first 4x4 so my first set of muddies, was recommended by a friend of mine to get duratrac tyres as he says it the best he has had on his lux. overall handles really well on the road in all weather conditions, they are quiet (note: 70% off road, 30% on road.) been off road only once so far and they worked a treat!!

Re: dannys lux build- 2"inch lift

Postby dans hilux on Sun, 09 Jan 2011 7:19 +0000

So i got the lift done today, only decided to lift the front up and not the rear as i wanted to wait untill the front settles and get the lux levelled as possible. Took some before and after measurements to both front and rear, here they are as followed=(note- 31/10.5 r15) measurements from ground to highest lower point of bottom of flares,
BEFORE
FRONT.
RIGHT SIDE=884MM
LEFT SIDE=884MM

REAR.
RIGHT SIDE=993MM
LEFT SIDE=993MM

AFTER LIFT:
FRONT.
RIGHT SIDE=992MM
LEFT SIDE=992MM

REAR.
RIGHT SIDE=993mm
LEFT SIDE=993mm

Sorry guys forgot to mention, used king springs part number ktfr-101hd and RAW 4x4 twin tube struts, rides quiet pleasing, was expecting it to be a hard ride using the hd's springs. Happy camper so far :D
