Rightio thought i would start one of these build up threads.

i should say right of the bat that this wont be an extreme rig by any stretch of the imagination, but it still should be fairly capable once i get a few off road k's under my belt in it.

it started life as transport vehicle for Kalgoorlie airport tramming people from the airport to town and back, doing this it clocked up 20,000k's. So in my opinion it was jsut run in for me when i bought it.

She is an 2008 SR Dualcab fitted with toyota's horrible front bar, flexy side steps and toyota towbar.
Pics of the day i picked her up:

so yes she was as stock as they come dont know how i fell in love with a low lux after driving a turbo 75 serier's

It Took a week for my cheque to clear from selling my cruiser so the lux stayed in stock for a long painful week.
then the mods slowly started:
2inch tough dog lift
16x7 CSA Stampede's with Cooper ATR's 255/ 70 r16
Safari Snorkel and flairs:
also a Redarc dual battery set up
Transformer stickers (im 24 so im still a kid haha),
Lightfrorce 240's,
installed my 2way.
bonnet and light protectors and a dash mat,
Image
this one is prob my favorite just looks like it has a perfect stance imho

Image
also went for a trip to pemberton to scam some food from my dads bakery and we took the lux down to Warren beach as some WA members might know it can be a bit of fun getting back up Calcup hill but the little lux did it with ease on about 15psi. also thats Tracey my fiance her and her faimly are the ones who have got my into 4x4ing

so the decision was made that we need to get a canopy for camping gear and keeping Trace's music gear dry when driving to gig's during winter and keeping whats ours ours. after a fair bit or research we ended up ordering a Razor back canopy with lift up side windows and central locking (what a god send that is i love it). we went the razor back due to the abilty to be able to carry a load with out buying anything extra unlike afew other manufacturers. but after having it installed we found a crack in the paint on the passenger side and also some rust had formed on the leading edge of the canopy. We ended up getting it repaired at no cost to us except for about a tank of fuel driving back and forth to the place of purchase, i was starting to get pretty angry but i think it was more at the place we bought it from than at razorback manly due to having to chase it up every week for a month then about two more months till it finally got fixed.
only have a couple of pics will post more when the camera surface's from its hidie hole: pics also show off my custom draws and high lift jack mount.

So the mods left to do are:
diff/gearbox breathers (have all the parts just need time to do it),
fit my new TJM bar and winch should be getting to town tomorrow hopefully but wont install it for a week or so after that,
I want a set of MT MTZ's in 265/75 r16
Water tank,
long range fuel tank
Air tank with attachments
sliders and under body protection panels

and also Drive the bloddy thing in the bush. doing a trip in early October prob be doing the holland track again

Way to go Gump :D It is coming along nicely. Did you make up your own drawers or is that from a supplier?
On the internet you can be anything you want. It is strange that so many people choose to be stupid!

the razor back canopy is a great piece of work would recommend anybody to get one if it suits their needs just wouldnt recommend the place i dealt with.

the Father in-law and i finished wireing up the winch the other night so i can go get stuck and pull my self out yay.

just need to figure out how to wire up the fog lights now then the fronts done.

also just finished my diff/gearbox breathers have to thank Skog for his thread on making them, i didnt buy his kit, because i have access to the line, fitting and filters from work ill take some pics when i get the camera back from where ever the missus has hidden it
