Thanks Troy.

Top spot as usual the video does no justice to how step and big those steps really are.

I agree, photos and vid never capture the full extent of the steepness. If it it looks steep on the vid or pic then it's bloody steep in real life.

Re: MICKS LUX - EXHAUST & PYRO FITTED

Postby helmut79 on Tue, 20 Mar 2012 8:59 +0000

Had the Scott's Rods exhuast fitted yesterday along with a pyro gauge in my piller pod.

What can I say, love that turbo sound, had the exhuast fitted with cat only and it sounds awesome.

Went for a quick run last night did about 50km (fuel economy was shit house to start off with computer must have been learning the new parameters. sucked about 50km on the trip computer in about 10k's).

Sound is awesome, the turbo sounds keeps a smile on my face.

Pyro read some pretty high temps of upwards of 550 when giving it full load some hopefully after a tank of so the computer will stop putting in so much fuel.

Build quality is good, fitment is a bit close to the 33" spare, but will bend it back a bit and see how we go.

Went to see a client yesterday and did about 150km round trip and the trip computer did not move, so I think she has not learnt.

Really enjoying the sound and low down torque. Temps are still getting up over 550 when pushed, hopefully the regear will help this.

Pic's are coming Pete

I have also done a few other little mods over the past few weeks

Painted roll bars matt black

And made up some mud flaps with some 6mm rubber and aluminium plate on the bottom and added some chain to hold them back

Since your screen name is "Helmut" I think you should call your hilux "Schultz"...as in Sargeant Schultz from Hogans heroes.....

Also fits in with when the misses asks what did you spend on modifications, like Schultz you can reply "I know.,...NOTHING!"

Hi Helmut79, the scots rods exhaust you have on Schultz does it have the muffler and diesel cat option or just the cat? meow  ?
