Saturday night mate, out at the Bohle.
It's a street meet, so it will be fairly relaxed, racing starts at 7:30pm

Now just have to hope the weather holds out for us.

Well, engine is back together.
Have to grab a few little things tomorrow and then I will fire it up, go for a drive for half an our then drop the oil and change the filter. Yay for me

Did an oil change last night, took it for a strap today.
Engine at operating temp, ambient around 32C outside, put it in 2nd and nailed it, 100 came so quick, 3rd, 4th, 170, very slick.
Hard to remember you're in a hilux sometimes.

The weather is still teasing me in T'ville, going to head over and chance it.

Anyone care to guess what my best trap speed and et might be?

Last time, my best trap speed was 98.19mph and best e.t. was 13.97

Well, the weather did hold out to some extent, the humidity was fairly high earlier on in the night, but a cool breeze picked up and it made for better times later on.

I did not manage to get past 100mph.
I did not manage to run a mid 13.

However I did reset my PB at 13.955 @ 98mph

So the power is there, just need everything to fall into place now.
Next winter should be interesting.

Versus an LS1 powered Nissan Wagon.
Wagon has a stock LS1 with a re-tuned ECU, trans shift points.

The owner was a really nice bloke, I'm keen to see if he does anything more to it, I'll race it again

Simple.

The better you can get it in, squeeze it, burn it and get it out, the better off you'll be.

Stay tuned

Now have the APR X-1 ECU in, thanks to Marty (Mattys pornstar twin brother) @ Monster Rides.
New shift point is 6200rpm or thereabouts, which means to reach that, I must manually shift the auto as it likes to shift earlier.
What this all means is I found out there is a speed cut, ever so gentle it is, but I'll see if I can piss that off soon.
The flashing engine light is another feature of the X-1, basically a shift light so you don't touch the limiter with every gear change.
