Looks real good mate!! Quite envious!

Can I interest you in coming on the Coffs trip to meet all the regulars, put faces to names and just quietly, show off your new truck?

I think my 6 1/2 hrs back to Toowoomba will be spent thinking about how I can afford to get a newer model, especially after seeing a few new trucks with all the fruit!! ;) Will never happen though

Sorry mate and I only have one spare left on my bench. Don't know what happend to his mate. Just go to any car audio shop and ask for them. Make them check with their installation bay if the sales staff don't know about them. I have got them from Strathfield and JB Hi Fi. Davis.16 has some better pictures in his buildup of an Alpine Stereo and a pocket with the ears if you wanted to print out the pic to take with you.

Diego,
Yeah, all the gear was fitted pre-delivery. There are a few more bits that haven't arrived yet like canopy and rear bar. Probably looks like I'm loaded but it had to be done all up front so it could go through the lease.

Broke,
I'd love to join you at Coffs but its a bit far to drag the navigator and kids for a long weekend. plus we've already got a trip planned for that weekend.
Don't worry about a new truck. Put the cash into the fruit.

rodw,
Thanks, I'll look into it.

Did a dry run to check that the water tank, drawers and batteries fit today. Appart from moving the mounting tabs, everything fitted well so now to order the nutserts and install them for when the canopy arrives.

Thanks Rod

THe runners are from www.hardware.net.au They're 120kg rated and full extension . I wanted needed full extension as I use three separate boxes that sit in the frame you can see so I can easily rearange the order as required ie recovery gear at the back when camping/touring or at the front when it is more likely to be required. Either that or easily removed from the car without having to unpack them.

Bought mine as a pocket kit when I replaced the SR head unit with a Pioneer single DIN jobbie. I think they were about 15-20bucks from Autobarn

OK. Finally got some time to update progress.

Ended up selling my in dash unit to a friend and buying one that fitted the space properly and kept the steering wheel controls. It isn't as user friendly as the old one but I'll look into that later.

Also got the electrical system mostly in as per this diagram. Still need to conect up the relay to cut out power to the front when ignition is off.

And got the tank in

The pump is connected so it can pump into or out of the tank or bypass the pump to fill from a garden hose. It's fitted to the side of the drawers but shown here before it went in.

And the Drawers

There's also the power shower under the bonnet.

Mate you have done a great job with your setup, I can see you have put a lot of thought ( and time) into it.

How are you finding those big drawer runners are going?. I am about to get a couple of sets myself for a similar setup but I have plastic tubs.
On the internet you can be anything you want. It is strange that so many people choose to be stupid!

Thakns Alby.

They seem to be going fine. I did clean hem up before they went back in as they where in my Navara for a while and had been to Faser. I love being able to get stuff out of the back box so for me the full extension is a must. I do keep the heavier boxes at the back (Spares & Recovery Gear) to keep the overhung weight down when the drawers are right out and in theory these are not required as often as the cooking gear in the front boxes but by using the boxes you can reorganise the arrangement to suit so if the terrain is looking dodgy you can bring the recovery gear to the front.

I know where you live!!!

My son goes to the primary school nearby so I go past every now and then. Unfortunately I generally am on the way from or to somewhere but I'll keep an eye out.

Awesome Stuff... this really is a very tidy truck.

Good to see most of the work was done at home, great attention to detail and build quality.

Whats next, if anything on the build?

Cheers
