i got around to putting on the HERCULINER i got from the states.when i took out the proform drop in tub liner i was surprised how good of condition the tray was in. in the kit they give you a small piece of dish washing scourer to take the shine off the paint but that wasnt doing a good enough job so i ended up using a couple of those soft sanding blocks they were so much better at getting into all the valleys.

before:

taping up the hard edges:

all sanded down:

and here is the finished product. really happy with the look i just hope it is as good as they say it is

be prepaired this stuff getss everywhere hahaha. it would be a lot better to spray this stuff on but my paint guns are to small to do it.

cheers mate... im hoping the herculiner holds up to the heat we get up here (45c adverage in summer) it seems to stay fairly soft and im a bit scared to put anything to heavy and sharp in the back yet. might get another tin and double the thickness

I drive 1km of gravel/ dirt road every time i leave home or come home. Also alot of barringtons trips and so far its been a great investment. Also just did frazer island fair bit of sand stuck to the filter and in air box. So checked inside intercooler and was all clean no sand or muck. Really helps the truck breath with a 3" zorst

Wouldnt mind seeing the microns diffrence between uni and K&N

i dont think there would be to much difference.. all comes down to how much oil and how sticky the oil is that you use.

cleaned out the EGR valve and elbow last days off. wasnt to much build up in there and didnt notice if it made a difference or not. the manifold below the elbow looks terrible so i think ill be looking for a spray in product or something like that to help clean it.

or if i go a petrol injection kit im sure that will keep it sparkling clean ... still doesnt seem right spraying petrol into a diesel though :?

got a small update i installed a TUNIT chip the other day and very happy with the power and economy. i was really only looking to replace the power the 33' muddies stole and i got that plus a heap more and about an extra 200km per tank!! and thats set at level 5... on level 9 the power is crazy but so is the fuel usage but could come in handy if loaded right up or towing... and the stock clutch is still fine very surprising

ordered a RAZORBACK canopy with central locking, one lift up window for fridge access under the awning side and a slide window to leave open a bit when travelling with the dogs.

going to check out a RRT tomorrow that a mate of a mate is selling so that will go on the canopy nicely.

put a pin hole in my outer CV boot and its flicking a bit of grease around so i ordered some genuine toyota boot kit so ill be installing that tomorrow i think. will be good to know how they come out so i can carry a cheap spare one from repco when im out bush.

my sliders are finished!!!! solid as a rock ... just getting them blasted and painted this weekend and that will be my only cost  cant complain at that

also my reverse light rocked up from n-tech and installed it. very profesional bit of kit comes with relay loom and extra bracket incase you dont want to flush mount it. the light output is unreal dont think ill be needing 2 anytime soon.very happy

also my yukon grizzly locker is all paid for and should be on its way tomorrow. ive had a little bit to do with diff so might have a look at doing it myself.

does anybody know what oil you run once its installed ? i wouldnt think it would be LSD oil but not sure.

Looking great Anthony. I installed my Yukon locker a week and a half a go. I used LSD oil in mine, but believe you can use either.
Cheers,
Kris.
